Judging from appearances, that isn't main.py. That's a page from the GitHub repository for main.py. If you've tried to download main.py directly from the site, you'll want to select 'Raw'.

I am so lost on what I am doing wrong. PLEASE someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

2013-03-27 16:58:48 ERROR: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Users\<withheld>\Desktop\GMM\main.py", line 72, in <module>

File "C:\Python27\lib\lib-tk\FixTk.py", line 65, in <module>
import _tkinter
ImportError: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

Thats the Modman-log text file that gets created after I try to run the main.py file. I have tried as an admin, using the command prompt, all that. Am I missing something simple, or what?

Google chatter says this can happen when mixing 32bit and 64bit exes/dlls.
Possibly from installing one edition of Python over top of another existing one?

Completely uninstall Python (delete its folder if it lingers afterward), then reinstall it.

Sigh I'm very sorry but Im stuck getting this to work at step..

Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories.
Right-click "Command Prompt" to run as an admin.
Type this, then hit enter: cd "c:\wherever\GMM\is"
Type this, then hit enter: main.py
Windows Vista/7/8 insist on only letting admin-apps modify what's in important locations like Program Files.

I type in this command line into command prompt and I get the error "The system cannot find the path specified."
Im probably just too tired and being stupid but can I get a little help.

If u guys need to use the program, but cant update it (like me, i just gave up trying to make it work the last version) just download the 1.6 version that works perfectly fine, and thats it !. ;)

Y'mean [ cd "c:\wherever\GMM\is" ]?
Probably a typo. Or missing quotes?
Hitting tab to autocomplete names helps avoid stuff like that.

Sometimes i wonder if people are lazy or they just cant read. They jump in the last post and start asking without even read 4 or 5 previous posts...

So, answering to your question.. look some older posts.

text GMM bug

Postby mightyminiman » Sun Mar 31, 2013 9:55 pm

all the text on my game is shrunken and moved to the top of the screen, i tried previous posts about deleting the backups, no affect on re-running of GMM. on check the cache on steam 2 files are missing and replaced, game works. on re-downloading and running GMM 1.7,game Text breaks and the targeting cursor in game is a black square, rooms with no O2 become huge black squares, this is far from annoying. i know i'm doing something wrong, i just need some help, i running steam 1.03.1 version of FTL GMM 1.7 on windows 7. cheers for any help.
