New boss battle idea: 12 mantis boarders!


"Suddenly, your world changes. All the mantis are on board your ship."

Have it disable doors too, so you can't cheat with airlocks.

I'd still cut the O2 and run everybody to the medbay (moving extras back and forth through the room) while I let the mantis slice up the ship. 12 mantis is just insanity.

I would like a "Flagship" for each faction. Made an idea of what each one would be.

    Engie Carrier
    Zoltan Energy Defender
    (Add in a Pacifist automatic win condition: Reach this ship without destroying another ship)
    Mantis Battlebarge (Engie Campaign)
    Federation Dreadnought
    (for a Rebel Campaign)
    Rockmen Battle Cruiser
    (Zoltan Campaign)
    Slug War Yacht
    (alternate win condition pay 5000 scrap)
    Lanus Multicomplex
    Crystal World Ship
Warp Drive or Hyperspace?

Yowser that would be difficult to deal with considering they'd transport 8 group or every one of the 12 onto your boat decently fast. Level 2 battling aptitude mantis are nothing to snicker at either. I think you'd wind up venting the entire boat aside from the medbay and running team to and fro to keep them all recuperated. The mantis would in any case most likely be destroying frameworks even as they choke. It may end up being a more fascinating test than the renegade leader, however. That one has been settled IMO.
