FTL 1.5.13 Flagship Artillery Hacking

Seen in FTL 1.5.13, haven't tested in 1.6.2.

  • Encounter the stage 1 flagship.
  • Hack any of the right three artillery rooms. It will be revealed.
  • Go to the main menu and continue, to reload.
  • Both that room *and* the leftmost room will be revealed.

Reason:
The flagship's system rooms each have a boolean 'hacked' flag on them.
Your hacking system will only remember the /type/ of system it hacked, not a specific room.

Upon loading, the hacking system seeks the first artillery room (the left one). *That* will be marked as 'hacked' and will be subject to disruption. The original room will still have its 'hacked' flag lingering from before (keeping it revealed), but your hacking system won't disrupt it. Your hacking system only affects one room, and it picked the left one this time. The drone pod will still be attached to the original room's wall, but that's cosmetic.

If the original room was mid-disruption when you bounced to the main menu, it'd probably stay disrupted indefinitely, since your hacking system won't reset it when the disruption timer expires.


Aside: During a saved game editing experiment, alternating between editing the targeted system type and reloading, lingering 'hacked' flags accumulated , until I permanently disrupted a whole ship that way. :P
