Details: Had 2 mantis on enemy ship. They were running low on health so decided to move them to another room and teleport. 1 Mantis entered the room and was in idle animation at the moment of applying teleport to that room (square 4 tile room). 2nd Mantis was moving through that room to his destination and for some reason didn't get teleported to homeship.
I suspect crewmembers are "assigned" to room only when they reach their destination within the room.
I decided to wait till teleport would go of cooldown since enemy ship aiming system was suppressed. I assigned mantis on enemy ship to attack shield systems. After some attacks of said mantis on shield systems enemy ship exploded (even tho it had previously 1 hp).
Result: lost 1 trained mantis
Hope this is not a feature (e.g. teleport that transfers only idle crewmembers)

Re: [Gameplay bug] Teleport not affecting moving crewmembers
Sorry to disappoint, but this is intended design. If you could teleport moving crew, then there is no limit to the amount of crew you can bring home at once since you could have large amounts of moving crew in a single room. A lot of the game design is based around those room limits, so the still crew for teleportation is an extension of that. I promise you'll get the hang of it quickly and then it won't cause an unexpected problems again.

Re: [Gameplay bug] Teleport not affecting moving crewmembers
Thinking further on it, I could change it to be slightly more forgiving. Moving crewmembers whose final destination is in the room you're targetting could become valid targets. That would keep the room limit in place and allow easier teleporting home.
I'll add it to a list of todo's for when we have the time to work on polish/improvement instead of just tech issues/support

Re: [Gameplay bug] Teleport not affecting moving crewmembers
I had one crew member die because he was attacking a door when I evacuated the room with the teleport. There were two people in the room, one was attacking the door and one was not. I felt like both should've been teleported out as they were essentially stationary in the room. It shouldn't make a difference whether you're attacking a door or an enemy.
This is the only gripe I have with the teleport function.

Re: [Gameplay bug] Teleport not affecting moving crewmembers
Thanks, this bug has cost me some crewmembers. Kind of not fun to watch only 1/2 crewmembers survive the teleport home at the end of a fight, just because one of them had just made it into the room and not become stationary yet.
Or BETTER YET - just add a tooltip to the Teleporter - "Teleportation Technology is risky and difficult. All crewmembers must be stationary when teleporting."
