My game keeps crashing the video whenever I use a non 1.5.13 save file. I'm playing on windowed. Is this a known problem?

@ravenousrhino: Non 1.5.13 save files should not cause a problem. Did you edit it in any way? There were a few save bugs prior to 1.5.13 that wouldn't be fixed by just updating, as the save file itself would be unusable in those situations. You can email me (techsupport@ftlgame.com) the save file if you want me to take a look.

I purchased the non-Stream version on Amazon; how do I update to 1.5.13? Downloading and reinstalling doesn't update.

Hi. Can I download/install the update from somewhere else? Or using Steam is the only way to get free updates of the game? I bought one FTL copy on Steam and one from your site, cuz its impossible to play it offline when installed with Steam (Is it stupid, or am I missing something here?). And i travel a lot by train (no wifi inside). So I must play there a not updated version. Thanks in advance for the reply.

There's not been an update in years, and it should be up to date from anywhere. You can see if it's 1.5.13 in the bottom right corner in main menu. You should also be able to play the steam version offline without an issue, try launching from the folder (either find it in the steam folder somewhere, or go to properties of the game in steam, browse local files, and save the location for later).
