Ghost ship

I found the ship of legendary thief KazaaakplethKilik. When I arrived in the Mantis Homeworlds, I upgraded my sensors and medbay in case I found him. With only the Kestrel A's starting weapons, I targeted the Mantis ship's oxygen, which was only level 1. As soon as it got repaired, I hit it again, and managed to drain all their oxygen.
Unfortunately, the Mantis had stripped me down to my last hull point. They fired their burst laser III as their crew had a sliver of health and zero oxygen. My level 2 shields meant I had to dodge 3 shots. Dodged 1, 2, hit, hit... had to jump away.
At the next beacon I found and defeated a normal Mantis ship, then tried jumping back to finish off KazaaakplethKilik. I found his ship, empty of crew and firing weapons. The ghost ship killed me before I could escape.
