You do know that enemy shields recharge, right?

A non-shielded enemy is not a reasonable fight. I wouldn't even say it's target practice (The Beam Master is considered that).
Basically your math while informative doesn't really matter if the enemy ship hasn't got any shields. A Vulcan can deal with 4 layers and possibly solo an enemy ship provided it doesn't dodge everything too quickly. A dual laser cannot.

And, might I add, they will pierce all shields in a reasonable situation. Now, in some mods where people will give enemies eight shields...
Well, a Vulcan would have issues with that too.

Well, a Vulcan would have issues with that too.
Problem is that you'll not find 4 dual lasers outside of mods.

is the Beam Master the rigger with a mini beam and beam drone? I didn't know that we were giving enemy layouts names...
