Re: NaNoWriMo?
Does retired count?
I started NaNo in... 2003? I don't remember. I hit 50k (almost 60 IIRC) by month's end, and finished the story by the end of the year. I had the 2nd draft completed by Spring and was very happy with it. There it's sat since. The next year, I soldiered through a story that kind of lost its plot midway through he month, and at 50,001 words I quit and never went back. The next and following years for couple years, I never again reached the goal. I think I participated 5 times total.
I really enjoyed doing it, but don't think I'll participate again. It is a LOT of work.

Seconding 5thHorseman's comment. It is a LOT of word and I commend those who do it. Good luck everyone!

Not as such. I have a novel in progress (nearly 47k words now), but I've been working on it since July, and I figure I'm only about halfway done with it. By that logic, it'll be finished in May or early June.
