I've always enjoyed listening to video game music while I work. "Good" (yay subjectivity!) video game music that is...
So, while we eagerly await the retro tunes of FTL, what music have you been listening to recently?
I've picked up Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura on http://www.gog.com and have slowly sluggin' through the game. The music in the game is quite incredible; predominately string-based instruments. Here's one of my favorite songs that plays when you're out in the game's wilderness.

Mostly Portal 2, No One Lives Forever, Beyond Good and Evil, and (bizarrely enough) Arcanum.
Does it count as listening to video game music if you're listening to the score from a musical that later inspired a strategy game?

Check out http://www.gamemusicbundle.com/ if you guys haven't seen it.
I tend to listen to a lot of chiptunes when getting in a work mood these days. I love the Tower of Heaven and Herocore soundtracks. Also the Bionic Commando Rearmed soundtrack

If you're having hull problems, I feel bad for you son. I've got 99 problems but a breach ain't one.

Yup that's what I listen to plus some Dawn of War 2 and Company of Heroes stuff, skyrim, and the occasional Final Fantasy tune (mainly 6, 7 and FFT).

It's my sincere opinion that it is impossible not to like the Scott Pilgrim Game soundtrack (or the MightyMighty Bosstones for that matter).

Not videogame music, but definitely has videogames as an inspiration:
DyE's album Taki 183 is really good.
Also, check out Com Truise. His album Galactic Melt is an insanely spacey concept album of the highest calibre.
Also in no particular order,
Flying Lotus
J Dilla
Beastie Boys (RIP MCA)
Brian Wilson
Little Dragon
Beach House
James Blake
Spiritualized (and Spacemen 3)
Vangelis
No videogames, DEAL WITH IT
