Idea: Smart Select.

Have you ever selected a group of wounded crew, only to have the strongest enter the med-bay first while the weak ones die?

So I'm requesting an option in the menu: Smart Select.

You can configure various ways in which certain crew members have a priority over others when entering rooms.

Example menu:
[Medbay]
Weakest enter first/Default\Strongest enter first
[Mannable Systems]
Best in system/Default\Best Repair
[Damaged Rooms]
Best Repair/Default\Fastest/Best in system\Most HP
[Enemy-Filled Rooms]
Fastest/Most HP\Best Fighter/Default


The menu may be too in-depth, but you get the idea. The devs could always make it only for the med-bay or whatever.
I hate FTL...

But I love it at the same time...

I've thought about this before. I wish my rock dudes would default to the first position, but they always get a secondary location since they are slowest. An option like you're suggesting would be a big improvement. However, I think leaving things the way they are and intentionally raising the skill cap for the game may be intended.

The game send people in prioritized ion the crew list on the left. First joined member first etc.

If you need to micro manage people around pause the game. It´s much easier when you can revert your commands before your crewmen die because of a misclick.
