Hi, i played the game in my lunch for 10 minutes, and i couldnt see anyway to save the game (or was i being thick?_, will a save feature be included in the game in any way on release or will it be aimed at one off play throughs?

Just curious :)

Fair enough, a minor pity as i would love to play the game for 10-20 minutes on my lunch, but no matter.

Just to what I'm doing and make sure you back is to the wall, and no one can see your screen ;)

We need a "Panic button" to hide fast a game window from a view :P

In ARPGs you can only save on exit and I'm not sure why FTL cannot use a similar system. Maybe it's not a must have feature but a single save slot for the last game that you play doesn't seem too much or out of place. Said from an ignorant point of view, of course. Never played a roguelike so not sure about the usual length of the games and such.

The developers said no to saving. I wouldn't mind a "quit" and "continue" option at least.

I sure hope they let us quit and continue. There should be no difference between that and just pausing the game while AFK, except I can turn off my computer without losing progress, or turn off the game to get better performance on a laggy flash video, etc.

Every Rogue-like I've played has the option to save-on-exit.
Life is often unpredictable, I see no reason we should have to abandon a playthrough completely if we're forced to close the game unexpectedly.
