They aren't "intuitive" because you're supposed to puzzle them out. It's not supposed to be an instant get. It's supposed to be a bit of a challenge. Which I really like. Finding the (frankly obvious) events is motivating. I know I'm getting close.

EDIT: Monty Hall helps a lot actually! Let's see you see two paths. One with a red dot you can't see, and one with a red dot you CAN and one you can't. Which path do you take? The one where you have partial information! It's a 2/3 chance of being the red dot you want instead of the 1/2 chance the other way.
