Idea: mutations for FTL

A poor sod on the Steam forum is lamenting that all his shops sell exclusively breach missiles, :D and all enemies come generated with them :) and all quest rewards are breach missiles as well. :?

Which is just as informative as botched brain surgery: why don't we have mutations for this game just like L4D2? A simple system which sets limits to what is generated in the game universe. Like "no lasers", or "only zoltan ships". People would pay good money for DLC such as this.
