[Suggestion] Asymmetric two player mode

How about a two-player, single-mission mode where one player controls the mechs and the other the vek? The basic rules and turn structure would stay the same, with the vek player trying to set up attacks the mech player can't fully counter. Could work well as either a live game or PBEM.

I like the idea but there would have to be some serious balance considerations/changes. Right now (at least on normal) the balance of combat heavily favors the meks. Dunno. Would be cool to explore regardless.

It favors the mechs because they're controlled by an intelligent player and the vek are not. With a skilled player I think the vek would be extremely dangerous, able to routinely put the mechs in a position where they can't protect everything.

This would be balanced by the fact that the mechs only have to worry about protecting the grid for a single fight rather than across an entire campaign. Assuming the standard of 4 mech turns and 5 starting power the mechs could lose 1 power a turn and still win. The vek player would have to beat that average.

I don't think balancing this would be difficult; you could easily tweak it just by adjusting the starting power and/or number of turns. And having a player-side option to change those numbers would make for a great handicapping system anyway.

So if we are on subset, it's really important to take this storm and sell currency to other player.
It's notghing new, it's just tip for path of Exile players and other great gamers, who try to found gam,es mmo for many, many multiplayer game online.
