[Tool] Dia. For planning complex events.

Postby Whale Cancer » Fri Oct 12, 2012 8:44 pm

I just wanted to give all the modders out there a heads up about diagramming software. Specifically, I use an open source program called Dia. It is very useful for planning complex events in a diagram format before programming them out. In my experience, when modding or programming something from scratch, it is always best to do some extra work ahead of time (a stitch in time...).

Here is a link for Dia: https://live.gnome.org/Dia

Here is an example of a quest that unlocks a ship in my Foundation of the Federation mod:

Hmm... I wondered what was missing from my computer. Now I've found it again!

I'll be using this for sure when I start putting events into FTL! (as well as other projects...)
