Seeds of Strife

If possible, this event idea would best be suited to appearing near the beginning of the sector, and only appear in Rebel Controlled Sectors.

First Beacon (Should appear as an unmarked beacon): You jump into a barren star system, with nothing but far-off stars in sight. As you prepare to jump away, however, your sensors indicate several weapon locks! You prepare for a battle, but reconsider when a Federation ship with pirate markings uncloaks before you.

The ship's Zoltan captain hails you, and explains they they are staging a rebellion of their own against the rebels who conquered this once-peaceful sector. He asks you to help rescue hundred of his allies who have been captured by the powerful rebel occupation fleet, stationed at a nearby gas giant.

(The player is given a choice to help the zoltan freedom fighter or not.)

If the player agrees: "Thank you, comrade. I'll transmit the coordinates of the POW camp. My spies have noted that it is well-guarded, so be careful. But don't worry, we'll be right behind you.

If not: "That is. . . unfortunate, but we understand you have no time to waste. We wish you luck in your journey.

Should the player agree, they will be directed to a QUEST beacon a few jumps away.

You jump into the beacon, and are quickly followed by several of the local resistance fighters' ships, and easily locate the POW camp. Scanners indicate that it has no planetary defense network active yet, but the enemy ships surrounding it are more than threatening enough. A frighteningly-well armed ship notices you, and changes course to meet you. Prepare for battle!

(The player gets into a battle with a powerful enemy ship; perhaps even an Elite fighter?)

If the player flees: Overpowered, you quickly jump away, leaving your allies behind. You try not to think too much over whether or not your friends will survive the fight. . .

If the ship is defeated: With the destruction of the Rebels' strongest ship, your allies quickly mop up what is left of the enemy fleet and free their friends. The Zoltan captain from earlier hails you. "We appreciate your help; were it not for you, our own ships likely wouldn't have been able to defeat the rebels here. With our men free, we should be able to mount a greater resistance in this sector. We'll hold them off as long as we can for you, but you must promise us that you will make it to the Federation sector. You are this sector's only hope for the return of peace. We can't spare many supplies, but we can give you one of our spare weapons."


(Rebel fleet is delayed for 3-4 jumps, normal scrap rewards, random weapon.)

I have an idea for another event, which I'll be posting soon!

So this will include AET? Cool.

Can finally replay FTL once this is released.

Though, I do hope things are checked for grammar this time; really immersion breaking to see either poorly worded things (lacking the style of the developers), or flat out spelling mistakes. (Edit: Just checked the github source for AET and someone corrected a lot of the grammar mistakes; awesome!)

As soon as you arrive at the beacon, you see a blinding flash of light! A human figure stands...or floats outside your spaceship. "Greetings Captain." He says in a booming voice. "I know of your mission, and I am here to help you."

1. Take his help
2. A human alive floating in space... yep, I'm crazy. (Leave)

1. You chose to trust the strange, yet god-like man. He transports a augmentation onto your ship! He leave in the same way he came, and you wonder...who the heck was that? (NATAR augmentation added)

NATAR Augmentation (Neuron And Total Annihilation Robot:
Only the creator of this god-like augmentation knows what it can do...

If I create a custom augment, which one should it replace? (you can't create a new augment, you only can edit existing ones)
