I just noticed a Remastered HUD module for 1.6 got brought back to the 1.6 zip. Thank you so much for that, it was the main component I was missing since the FTL update.

I've been spending the past three days cursing and trying my best to breathe some kind of life back into the Remastered HUD, after doing initial work for it a month back and then giving up thinking the task ahead of me was impossible. Without access to the means to edit the Font files responsible for the GUI texts, indeed a true return of the original mod will be impossible.

Despite this, what's there is my best shot at getting it into a semi-presentable form, using every trick I learned to get as much of the old HUD back working as it used to.

Hello. First off, I would like to thank you for your support of this fantastic mod and of this forum.

I recently have been getting back into FTL after the 1.6 updates started going out and tried using Captian's Remix, but with each instance of loading the mod, I am noticing one major bug.

When you enter the Hanger screen, a large white rectangle appears near the left the screen which proceeds to change colors in areas from black to yellow. I have tried running FTL with as few unnecessary mods as possible with no effect. However, this is only a problem for running Captian's Remix.

This is the mod order: All mods up to date as of 1.27.18

Alpha - The sM Polish Kit for 1.6.ftl
CE Resource Pack 1.306.ftl
Expansion - FTL Captain's Remix for 1.6.ftl

There's probably something up with CE's resource pack -- since another bug exactly like the one you're having has been reported in CE's comments.

I'm not sure however, since I haven't played CE in a while and haven't pushed myself to re-download CE.

Thanks for bringing that post to my attention.

I guess that either means the CE resource pack is bugged or is incompatible in some way as of now. Still, I will try to see what more information I can find regarding it.

CE got updated, but according to release notes the resource pack wasn't the source of the hangar bug. Captain's Remix most likely also has the leftover animation that EL did.

EDIT: I found a grammar bug when making missiles in an empty sector:

Hey, I made an account on the forum to say this. I'm playing the latest version of Insurrection, with the patch order exactly how it is in the example for "The Full Experience". I got an overclock kit from an enemy surrender in the first sector and used it in the empty beacon in the second sector to upgrade my halberd beam. The dialog seems to say I successfully did it (it said the beam was reinstalled on my ship but I may need to make sure I fit the requirements of the weapon or something, yet the beam and the kit are just gone. The overclocked beam is no where to be found, not in my active weapons or in my cargo hold. What happened?

Have you gotten the base AWM kit for standard SMPK?
I think that it may cause a problem without it

Can someone share with me the current load order? I tried the one included in the pdf, the one in the first post everything and im getting really strange issues

-I have this weird smily face animation in the hanger that seems to be caused by captains remix or ces texture pack
-I'm not getting the prompts to be able to talk to my crew at the start is this since I don't have a fuel recycler?
-weapons say unable to get lore info

Please share with me the full load order for using captains edition
am i supposed to use the ce addtional music, music compatibilit, endless loot, el texture pack, augmented weapons, named weapons, awm?

I'm going to assume you want the full Captain's Remix mod, so here is the load order:

Base SMPK (The base pack)

AWM+ for standard SMPK (Contains modifiers for all vanilla weapons)

CE resource pack (Contains all of CE's images and audio(?))

Captain's remix (Adds all of CE's changes to SMPK, albeit moderated)

AWM+ for Captain's Remix (Contains modifiers for CR's weapons)

NWM+ for Captain's Remix (Like AWM, but the weapons are stronger)



CE Additonal Music, Music Compatibility for Infinite, Endless Loot (for Infinite and Standard), CE Infinite(?) and EL Texture pack will NOT work with Captain's Remix.

The "Smiley Face" animation in the hangar is an error with the hangar animations in CR not working with 1.6.

The "unable to get weapons lore" error and no talk to crew at start is due to the aforementioned compatibility issues with using modules for CE for CR.

Do not use CE and CR together. CR is basically the entirety of CE but changed to be more balanced and add Insurrection's additions to it as well.

And don't use any related to Insurrection with CR. This is due to compatibility issues too, as well as the fact that CR already has Insurrection's changes.
