the enemy's weapons don't charge when you are cloaked either.

also, you can find a module that will cause you to warp in with weapons hot. Very, very effective with the right weapons.

I know that two salvage arms stack. I couldn't quite workout if it was a 130% or 132.25% bonus (the latter implying a compound bonus)

I start with

pilot, guns, shields

my next guy goes on engines

then as I get more crew I assign bodyguards to the guns and shield guys

the first engi's I get end up primary crew on guns, shields and engines in that order.
