This topic was originally about a different build. It wasn't about it being too hard, it was about there being a narrow set of victory preconditions, and a lot of random outcomes that can simply not deliver that, leading to success being too dependent on a minority random chance, with limited option...

Well, I dislike things that are too contrived. Disabling the medbay seems like game design spite. Design spite comes in when a designer sees a player doing something they didn't intend, so they specifically target that behaviour. halfway through the game and I am doing fantastic. plenty of scrap and ammo.

My worst was having my whole crew die of suffocation because I opened all my doors and the enemy boarders destroyed the door controls and my 02. my engines were already out.
