Re: [TUTORIAL] Creating Player Ships with FTLEdit

Yeah, I really can't tell what's wrong. The PNGs are 32-bit; the XML's all valid; the layout file looks fine; the filenames and directories all look okay. There was a dubious door in the layout file (DOOR / -9 / -9 / -1 / -1 / 0), but I removed it and it still crashed. The teleporter/drones/cloaking...

Re: [MOD] Starcraft Conversion v0.5: 18 new ships!

Yeah. These ships replace all the existing ships. But it's easy to just quickly run GMM before FTL if you decide you're in the mood for some base-game ships sometimes.

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL Infinite Space

@Ghostwish and Scootabuser: Most of what you're asking for isn't possible. This mod is a very clever use of some rather restricted capabilities. It's not possible for DrkTemplar to get this to have any variety of sectors: if you read through the thread you'll see several mentions of this. The "...

Um... i'm wondering, how do i actually get to the save edit section? i can't seem to find it, this link shows the section i'm after, as this is where i learned of this mod for the save editing Link which is what told me about this edit mod, but i can't find out how to get those options to show up h...

Re: [TUTORIAL] Creating Player Ships with FTLEdit

That all looks fine too. (Assuming all the images are PNG files, i.e. have extension .png as well as the filenames you listed.)

Tell you what. Send me the mod as an email attachment (alex dot churchill at cantab dot net) and I'll have a poke around myself.

Oh hey, the space distortion in the top-left couple of rows and columns will be fixed? Excellent. That's one of the quirks of FTLEdit I'd just kinda got used to, just having to move things further than it looks like the cursor will need to be. It'll be nice to have Euclidean geometry restored :)

Re: [TUTORIAL] Creating Player Ships with FTLEdit

That XML all looks fine. Can you tell me precisely what files you have in your mod's data/ and img/ship/ directories?

Re: Game crashes when manually editing ship crew members

Hmm. I tried creating a simple mod, with just that content in a blueprints.xml.append file, and it seems to work fine. So give this a go and see if if works for you or if you still have problems. If you still have problems, I fear that somehow your FTL install has got corrupted, and you might need t...

Re: [TUTORIAL] Creating Player Ships with FTLEdit

Sorry to hear that. I'm very familiar with the kind of syndrome you describe: I'd guess probably most modders spend a little while tearing their hair out trying to find the cause of that crash. It unfortunately means your XML isn't quite right. It's very easy to get things fractionally wrong, and XM...
