After watching all the pre-beta gameplay videos about 20 times each, I pretty much knew how to play the game before the beta arrived and I could even play the tutorial. The rest I learned through doing (effectively repelling boarders, knowing what weapons to use, the awesomeness of teleporters...)

The micromanaging of crew health doesn't take that much time to be worth additional UI elements, and I would never trust the AI to handle something as important as crew. Especially when they could be run through fires/no air/incoming missiles-lasers-bombs-whatever. Overall, I'm voting no to this one...

Done this too... Was saving scap for a cloaking system instead of upgrading teleporters and sensors, and they suffocated. Second time i failed with teleporters i beamed them back JUST as the rebel flagship FTLed away. I saw the crew were vanishing, but were stopped like 0,2 seconds from finishing. M...
