Re: Will this PC run FTL (buying a laptop)
As a reference, I'm fine running FTL on an pentinum b960(2.2 ghz) intel HD, 4GB ram, win 7 64bit. I have a slight laggy mouse problem, but it by no means makes the game unplayable, and i haven't come across any other problems in the 60 or so hours i have played it.

Re: Crew Dismissal: Why No Confirmation?
I think i'd agree with having a "confirm?" screen- couple of amendments/ additions- 1) You're in deepest space. there isn't a planet nearby. rather then using the word "dismiss" use the phrase "vent into space" 2) On a slightly more serious note, I don't think there sho...

Re: Having problem on my Toshiba Satellite C660
I'm also running FTL on a toshiba satellite, (L750) and it seems to run fine, except for a minor problem about the mouse lagging, which is more of annoyance. Toshiba haven't updated any of the drivers for the last year. Comparison stats; 2.2ghz dual core (B960), 4GB ram, Intel HD. Just for interest,...

Re: Idea for Multiplayer
Personally, I thought multiplayer would work best as a sort of left-4-dead style versus mode, where one player plays normally, with the other player assuming control of whatever randomly generated enemy ships there are! I'm not completely convinced FTL is cut out for multiplayer, though.

Suggestion/mod suggestion; Voice command
I appreciate this may be difficult to code, but I can't be the only one to want to be able to do everything by voice command, like a 'real' captain. Sure, some things would be tricky, but shouting "all rockmen extinguish fires" "steven to the teleporter room" or "open starbo...

Re: Horrendous mouse skipping
I had the latest set of drivers and still had the same problem. However, my framerate was good, around 30 fps, so it wasn't that. there's a chance you may have your processor being throttled to save power(a problem i sometimes have) or your graphics may not be good enough- i have intel HD. I do know...

Re: Horrendous mouse skipping
I also had this problem (though not as bad as you describe) also on a toshiba satellite laptop. there's a thread on getsatisfaction for it I created here; https://getsatisfaction.com/ftlgame/top ... ly_delayed
I expect your problem is just this, but more so!

Re: (IDEA) Taking over pirate ships?
I think not having certain systems could be more of a challenge- or they could be purchased in stores, or even, if the player ship is intact, moved across? and perhaps some ships, (EG mantis bomber size) could be unlocked as optional player ships by beating the flagship piloting one! Obviously this ...

Re: What things would you like for a possible contentpatch
- Consoles in more rooms - More ships - More events - More weapons - More races - Ability to use teleporter on enemies. not into space, perhaps into airless/inconvenient rooms though..... - Ability to surrender/negotiate - Ability to ship-jack (then use any ship that beats the boss in future play-th...

Re: FTL, how did it gain so much publicity?
I found it through onlive, just before the kickstarter. Thought, "this is worth a few £'s" I expect a lot of publicity has come from being on steam's homepage, and top sellers list.
