Re: holy cow... How did this happen?

My first impression is that the reviewer did it intentionally for the interesting screenshot. The early O2 upgrade is suspicious and was probably purchased just to fan the flames.

It's either that or the world's unluckiest newbie mistake.

Re: EULA?

I don't think it's a troll thread at all. And why not these forums? Anyone not satisfied with their purchase ought to be able to complain. FTLForum, GoG community and Humble Bundle are all appropriate places to voice displeasure. Don't forget that he is a paying customer. Alright, those are fair po...

Re: EULA?

I think the real reason I'm doing this isn't so much that I'm not OK with the specific terms (though I do dislike all four of the restrictions I mentioned), but more that I dislike EULAs in general, and am making a stand on principle. Why, of all places, are you making a general stand against EULA'...

Re: Purchased on GoG...

Open FTL on your GOG shelf. The updater file link is directly under the installation file link. Download it, run it, and enjoy the latest version of FTL.

The only thing that Steam offers over GOG is DRM. I (and many others) always choose GOG when possible.

Re: Favorite Parts of FTL

Personally while I find the overall game to be luck-based[...] In all fairness to the game, the word "luck-based" means (ostensibly) that the core gameplay is based on luck. An example would be Candyland. It's all luck. FTL, on the other hand, like Poker, has a heavy luck element. Some pe...

I don't consider myself a naysayer, but an empty sector would often be less of a hassle. A more dangerous/interesting event (plus rewards) would be even better.

Re: Suggestion: Boarding Party Event Compensation

^ What Mataza said.

The danger of boarding party events is negligible, making them ever-so-slightly tedious. I personally wouldn't mind if they were removed (or buffed).

Interesting screenshot! How did the battle ultimately turn out?
