<event load="..." /> targets "ship events", not ship blueprints, so that may be your problem. Check out events_ships.xml -- it lists most, if not all, of those.

I would say crew steal. I love mind controlling enemies, and, right before the control runs out, teleporting them immediatly onto my ship for quick dispatchment :twisted:

The only place I can see the Shield Overcharged bearing any use at all is if you have two of them, as well as a Zoltan Shield in the first place. But even then, having defense drones instead would be infinitely more effective.

At this point I just regard them as free scrap.
