To be more like Star Trek, I think it should be called "Emergency Power". In Star Trek episodes they were always saying "reroute emergency power to the shields!" or some such. I thought it would be cool in FTL to have this emergency power they speak of, but not sure what the dow...

Sometimes if you find a particularly powerful but power-consuming weapon in Sector 1, you should count to 5, take a deep breath, and then sell the damn thing. Sometimes you can get a lot more mileage out of 37 scrap that you can use right now.

Is this primarily focused on making what is currently configurable easier to implement, or does this also include permitting access to elements which are currently hardcoded in the binary?
