The answer to the topic question is a balance reason. When you shoot while cloaking (anything other than beams), cloaking is decreases with each volley. Cloaked weapons augment prevents it.

Hey. The Russian version already works with hyperspace, the English translation is on the way. Arsenal definitely has more content than CE; MV has more varied enemies and sectors, I guess (although ARS + has more weapons). Update 1.9 here! It skipped several versions, so there are quite a few changes. Added support for Linux, Hyperspace and Multiverse. Added procedural hull generation. Attention :!: Arsenal with the Hyperspace option enabled requires mod version 1.28, which is still in the process of being translated ...
