Also, sometimes some battle are just so broken. I have no idea what to max early in the game because whatever I max, I always have this weakness which somehow the games know and tries to inflict as much damage on it as possible when I'm not even that far into the game, barely passing 900point mark!...

This game is complete RNG trash. After 40+ hours of playing I have had to put up with the very worst this game has to offer. Isn't leaving most of the ship vented a death sentence if you get a hull breach in an important system room, though? I usually deal with hull breaches by opening all internal doors to equalize oxygen; this gives the repair crew a lot more time before suffocating. With a mostly vented ship, good luck...

He sold me a Glaive Beam once (for 65 scrap.) So it can be worth it, it just usually isn't.

If you're looking at a dry definition of a "roguelike" and have never actually played Rogue, Nethack, Moria, etc, then I suppose, yes, some of those points might sound similar. But FTL has none of the feel of those games. He said "roguelike", not "roguelike from 25 years ag...

Out of curiosity: couldn't you just have the "junior" leave the room when you want the "senior" crew member at the controls? Personally I simply don't see the use for it... :| I don't get 2 people in the same system room in reverse order often enough to ever want this function. ...

A Hard difficulty where the only change would be smarter AI would be pretty interesting. Although it is kind of funny seeing the AI drop EMP bombs into empty sections of my ship. Pro tactics. :D

They should just always automatically have the crewmember with the highest relevant experience bar man the station, since that's what you want 99% of the time. It would even be sort of realistic: in the engine room, the most senior engineer mans the controls. If he has to leave, the second most seni...
