I use them all the time! Things get chaotic in battle, and it's not easy to remember which zoltan was crewing the engines and which were chillin' in shields. Also, if I have a boarding team, I'll generally have them hang out in doors/sensors between jumps, and this is an easy way to send them back a...

Start is tough, but this should be expected considering the value down the road: premium weapon, premium drone, additional drone slot, long-range scanners tend to be good for income. Of course, a tough start is significant if you normally have things well in hand and expect to win most games... Unf...

Well, now that the Explosive Replicator is a thing, I'd like to think that an all-missile ship is...at least *possible*, if not ideal. I haven't tried it yet but will next time I get the chance.

I think the biggest issue with the clone bay is.. it's just inconsistent and illogical. They should have come up with some other name, like "emergency teleporter" or something. So, if your man dies, you get a new one. But only if they die horribly (like against giant spiders). If they die...

If you have two missile weapons you can destroy almost any ship with a defense drone. Rock A is your best bet. Just play normally, except don't sell your missile weapons, so you've got them when the opportunity comes up.

I think jumping 'anywhere' would be a bit much, but simply being able to jump to any 'frontier' node would be a little more reasonable, and bring this augment to a place where it's useful but not ridiculously OP. Oops, my mistake. I was confusing the multiplier of the FTL recharge booster with the FTL Jammer. The couple times I've used it, the booster seemed 'better' than a single engine upgrade.
