This could work:
Normal damage = 1
Hull damage = -1

I'm not entirely sure though. (In any case that should still do crew and system damage).

Railguns actually have no recoil, I would imagine. If you believe that rail guns don't have recoil, you are dead wrong. If you had known even basic physics , you would realize that you cannot propel a projectile without recoil. At all. Here 's a video in which you can clearly see a rail gun recoili...

zipped up the test directory That's your error. You need to zip up the data folder itself (along with any other folders, like img and less often audio / fonts , if you use them) Got home, unpacked it, packed the data folder directly, made sure it was the right format and renamed to .ftl, patched it...

But we need more time-based Chain weapons (vulcan types). I'd like to see more non-cooldown chain weapons... like chain fire chance, shield pierce, etc. Heck a projectile chain weapon would be cool. Like chain +1 projectile(with a cap around 4 or 5). Say 1 damage, 13 sec cooldown, starts with 1 pro...
