I, too, refuse to use Steam for anything. You do not need Steam for FTL or ITB on PC. You can purchase direct from Good Old Games (gog.com). They have an install manager if you like using them (Galaxy), but it is not required. It's not Google Play, but at least it gets the games on PC without Steam....

Spoilers if you haven't unlocked the secret pilots! I noticed that when Kazaaak gets a kill with his ability, he doesn't get the full experience, but rather it's shared between all pilots like with environmental kills. This is annoying because he is often put in support Mechs which don't have power...

Most Vek attacks won't even affect the pod anyway (e.g. firefly shots go right over it), only a mech attack or mech action moving a vek onto the time pod can destroy it. Found out when I realized it was a bit more difficult than expected to get the Chronophobia achievement (Finish 3 Corporate Island...

Or the amount of XP needed to level up increases. I think I would prefer this over decreasing the amount per Vek, as I really like the symmetry of 1 HP per health point. Other options I thought of (just spit-balling ideas for discussion) is instead of having RNG distribute XP from Vek that die outs...

Even if the energy reward was 4, I would take the pilot. More rep = more power cores = better stuff = less power loss. But with a reward above 2, it can be situational. For example, if you go into the choice with 6 rep, nabbing a pilot will only get you 2 more. But you need 9 for another core, not ...
