Easy mode is roughly equivalent to most games' hard mode. Normal mode is roughly equivalent to most games' insanity mode. They added hard mode in AE because they couldn't believe we'd want it even harder and just made it stupid hard. That's the mode I prefer :) But there is no shame in playing in ea...

I wish I could help more but I've not modded FTL in years. I had this issue before and IIRC it's something specific about your image file. Like, it doesn't have an alpha channel or something like that. I don't recall exactly what was wrong or what fixed it, but I do recall for a fact it was my image...

In hard mode, the only enemies that spawn on the 4th island are Alphas. There aren't actually any more than there were before. I've wanted Virus' 2nd ability since the first day I played the game. Slocknog's is really cool. I'm always impressed what info people can pull out of the game. Ruwen's seems a bit weak in comparison. Maybe instead of repair, he can generate a "shield" of crystals around himself? That work...

I've been playing for almost 700 hours and I still get this wrong. In general, though, I like to keep my mechs up front, except SOME artillery mechs that should be placed so they can range left/right or forward/back the most, to be able to target the most tiles. I like to give vek my mechs to target...
