Therefore, rather than asking for the game to fits you, it's seem easier to just looking for mods, trainer, or cheating to make the game fits you IMO. On a side note, I think Rubik's Cubes should be easier. Why can't they be the same color on every side? What kind of sick mind designed these things?! I just bought one for $10 and it has RUINED MY LIFE. I'm never going to get my time or money back. Instead, I'm going to spent hours posting on Cube...

It's not that it's too random, but rather that the way the randomness isn't limited, you are sometimes given e.g. not a single weapons shop for 5 sectors, or a row of very difficult encounters.

I was just about to attempt a speed run (IRL time), but this seems more in line with the "pause & plan" nature of the game

I use some Ion weapons and multi-shot lasers to focus down the enemy weapons system. Usually, this means I'll take little to no damage in most encounters.
